Food Valley Ambassador program
The Food Valley Ambassador Program offers international high potential students a one year internship in Food and Life Sciences R&D at a multinational company based in The Netherlands. Because of the one year internships the students have opportunities to work on a larger project or multiple projects. During their work experience, the students are also trained to act as Food Valley Ambassadors, representatives of the Food Valley NL innovation cluster. This means they automatically become part of the Food Valley Ambassador network, a growing international network of high-performance students and employees.
The network covers the following countries: Armenia, Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark, Germany, Greece, France, India, Indonesia, Lithuania, Mexico, Peru, Romania, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, UK, US and Vietnam.
Interested in doing business or exploring new markets in foreign countries? Our Ambassador network can be of help.

Renee Boerefijn, Director of Innovation, Loders Croklaan
“The Food Valley Ambassador programme matches very well with the industry needs. The students are bright, very keen to learn and work hard to blend with the team and deliver results. The 1-year traineeship duration allows for a student to handle a significant project from start to finish. The international programme and students stimulate our culture of openness and innovation.”
Gijs Lommerse, Scientist, Corbion
“The one year internship offers more possibilities for the student as well as the company. The students have the opportunity to write their own research proposal and make a project planning. For Corbion, the Food Valley students operate more like a junior employee than an intern.”
Minerve Vicente, Manager R&D ,The Kraft Heinz Company
“In terms of innovation, having food ambassadors helps us to deliver more innovation. Due to the length of the student’s work in the company it really enable the person to be fully into the topic and to be able to deliver results which are beneficial for us.”

Thanks to the Food Valley staff for the support and encouragement, specially to Mia Holleman. It is with mixed feelings of happiness and a sad heart that I say goodbye to my fellow Ambassadors; your enthusiasm, dedication and will power has been an inspiration for me. I wish you the very best for your future and thank you for the accumulated learning. It has been a great professional cycle, I am looking forward to new challenges and to starting a new phase of my career. Success!”
