Together with Food Valley NL innovative Dutch agro-food companies will be present at Alimentaria in Barcelona, 25-28 April. Alimentaria is Spain’s main international event for food, drinks and culinary industry professionals, attracting 140,000 visitors and 3,800 exhibitors. Its focus is on innovation and international matchmaking.
Alimentaria is aimed at the international food and food services industries and takes place every other year. The event is a great place to meet buyers from Europe, but particularly from Latin America, Asia and the USA. This year, the Dutch Embassy in Madrid and Food Valley NL are bringing the Holland Food Valley pavilion to Alimentaria for the first time.
The Holland Food Valley pavilion will be situated at a prime location in the first hall near the main entrance to the show. The pavilion is located amid many international exhibitors and Spanish companies, on the main walkway.
The pavilion will feature fresh food samplings prepared by Erik te Velthuis, chef of the Top Sport Restaurant at Papendal, the Dutch national Olympic training center in Arnhem. Te Velthuis, Food Valley NL and the participating companies will jointly determine the menu on offer at the Holland Food Valley Tasting House. The central themes will be obesity and reformulation of food products. In the months leading up to Alimentaria and at the show itself, Food Valley NL you can find more information on the Dutch companies through www.hollandfoodvalley.com and other channels. The sampling sessions will be catered on location from the Holland Food Valley House kitchen.
