Looking for international top talent? These Food Valley Ambassadors are available for a job!Published: 01-03-2017
Well-trained personnel forms the backbone of any company. They are necessary to keep a company innovative and competitive. The Food Valley Ambassador Program addresses this human capital issue in the Dutch agri-food sector. But at the same time the program addresses product/process development and internationalisation of the companies.
7 International master students of Wageningen University and Research are about to graduate and finalize the Food Valley Ambassador program. The students (or ‘ambassadors’) are selected by a professional recruitment agency (Nutri-akt) on criteria like study results and motivation, but also on social and communication skills. The Food Valley Ambassador program consists of a one year internship in Food and Life Sciences R&D at a multinational company based in The Netherlands. Additionally the program supports the ambassador through a professional training in presentation skills and networking. They get acquainted with the Dutch agri-food sector by visiting innovative companies. Moreover the student can act as an intermediary between Dutch companies and his/her home region to companies seeking collaboration.
